In 2016 three outstanding international dance events find place in the unique constellation of one year. The Dance Congress (Hannover) is a lighthouse project of the federal cultural foundation, the German Dance Platform (Frankfurt) is the most important showcase of the contemporary dance scene and the Internationale Tanzmesse (Düsseldorf) is the marketplace for networking and communication, they found an umbrella under the name Tanzjahr 2016.
That’s why we build an open design system of three elements, while dancing together to build typography, icons, many languages and designs forms. The project will start at the end of this year with the first designer’s collaborations. Over the year, we will discover, how many energy lies in this simple but recognizable concept.

More about the cooperative design; “Berlin-based agency Brousse & Ruddigkeit created an amazing campaign to celebrate the Year of Dance Germany 2016. They invited well-known names of the design scene, to participate in the design of posters. The conditions for the design were simple: they were allowed to use only 3 shapes and 2 colors. The posters were presented at Bethanien Mariannenplatz last Thursday, May 12. We totally love the results! Congrats to the agency for a great idea and to all the participating designers for their eye-catching pieces.“
The campaign wins a bronze medal at the Shenzen International Poster Festival / China, 2016.
